Basic Job descriptions:

Service Coordinator

- consult with pastor regarding service content
- prepare the order of service (see regular week and communion week)
- email the entire team before Wednesday's practice (include full order, keys & lyrics where possible)
- direct the Wednesday practice
- finalize the order, communicate any changes to the team by email prior to the service
- liase with the the projection team each week
- liase with the sound crew as needed (special arrangements for the service)
- liase with the communion crew & ushers as needed
- direct Sunday morning practice
- make arrangement notes during practice to ensure consistency during the service
- communicate any follow up to the appropriate person.

Vocal Leader

- lead the vocal arrangements during both Wed practice and for Sunday morning
- lead the congregation into a state of worship during the service
- ensure that there are lyrics printed and ready for both practice and Sunday morning
- make arrangement notes during practice to ensure consistency during the service
- attendance at practices when not scheduled for the upcoming week is encouraged!

Harmony

- prepare harmony vocals, prior to practice as well as during practices
- ensure that the words for the projector are the same as for the vocalists
- make arrangement notes during practice to ensure consistency during the service
- attendance at practices when not scheduled for the upcoming week is encouraged!

Instruments

- prepare for practices by ensuring that music is brought (hymnal, binders, recent printouts, etc)
- set up instrument prior to practice (tuned and plugged into the house PA)
- assist with arrangements during practices
- make arrangement notes during practice to ensure consistency during the service

Special Music

- provide lyrics & or music to musicians & harmony vocalists prior to Wednesday's practice
- arrive prior to 10am to ensure a sound check is possible, anticipate approximately 5 minutes of on stage time before the service (it may not be possible to run through an entire song during sound check if the song is being sung to a tape or CD)
- if accompaniment is required please plan on attending the midweek practice, either way communicate this with the service coorditor as soon as possible
- discuss with the pastor any necessary background information that may be helpful in preparing the congregation for the solo.
